LEGAL PRACTICE MANAGER 

Coventry city centre

Salary up to c£60k - negotiable, commensurate with experience

We are working with a very well-established Lexcel accredited, Legal-500 recognised law firm who are looking to attract an experienced Legal Practice Manager/Legal Office Manager, to manage and oversee all operations of a busy law practice. We are ideally looking for someone to commence employment in January or February 2025.

The role would suit someone with a background in legal accounts and/or experience of human resources, operations management and/or facilities management within a busy law practice 

Duties of this role will wholly depend on experience (a range of skills and experience will be considered) and will encompass all or some of the following:

  • Recruitment and HR 
    • Sourcing permanent and temporary/locum staff
    • Dealing with new starter paperwork/onboarding, referencing, sending out employment contracts
    • Inducting and onboarding new starters 
    • Ensure HR policies and procedures are compliant with Lexcel
    • Delivering training on internal systems, processes and procedures, health and safety etc.
    • Keeping training records/ CPD logs and appraisal logs up to date
  • Operations Management
    • Day to day operations management of a busy, successful law practice
    • Facilities management and health and safety matters
    • Dealing with/negotiating supplier contracts and insurances including professional indemnity insurance
  • Legal Accounts/Finance 
    • Supervision of accounts staff 
    • Approving payment of invoices 
    • Provision of accounting information to Directors 
    • Organising payment of practicing certificates etc.
  • Working proactively with Directors to take the firm forward, with plans to expand the business

This is a full time permanent job, working 9am to 5.15pm Monday to Friday.  Homeworking will be accommodated one day per week.
