A leading manufacturer and developer of safety critical products supplied to the defence sector, is seeking an Electrically biased Maintenance Engineer to join their team on a permanent basis. Working on a three-shift rotation (Mornings/Afternoons/Nights) Monday to Friday, you will provide reactive and preventative maintenance support to the production areas and the building fabric itself.


Commutable from:  Coventry, Nuneaton, Warwick, Leicester.

Salary: Circa £ 40,000 p.a. + Excellent Benefits including twice yearly bonuses, annual leave with option to purchase additional days, life assurance cover x 3 Salary, 5% employer pension contribution, paid leave for armed forces reservists and paid overtime.


The Role

The successful candidate for the role of Maintenance Engineer will support both reactive and planned maintenance works for the production areas and building, ensuring the maximum machine uptime and the safe and documented maintenance of the equipment aligned to the company’s record keeping.

You will support the installation of new machinery and equipment alongside working with the production and Health and Safety teams to ensure that building runs safely and effectively.

You will use your electrical engineering skill base to diagnose and repair electrical faults and monitor machine performances to ensure that they run smoothly.


The Person

For this role you will be required to pass SC Clearance to work onsite and be electrically certified to work safely within electrical cabinets and with a range of voltages. The ability to demonstrate a ‘safety-first’ approach is of the utmost importance.

Experience maintaining both electrical and mechanical equipment including moulding machinery and hydraulic systems is essential for the role alongside keeping the maintenance stores and supplies well stocked with the required parts and tools needed.

As noted in the introduction, this is a three-shift rotation, working onsite Monday to Friday.
