About the Role
We are seeking a skilled and proactive Maintenance Engineer to join our clients team in Coventry. This critical role ensures the efficient operation, maintenance, and repair of machinery and equipment within our facility. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical expertise, problem-solving skills, and a commitment to reducing downtime in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Preventive Maintenance: Plan and perform routine maintenance on mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic systems. Conduct inspections to identify wear and tear, ensuring optimal equipment performance.
- Repairs and Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve equipment breakdowns promptly. Repair mechanical, electrical, or hydraulic faults and test machinery for proper functioning.
- Health and Safety Compliance: Adhere to safety standards and ensure compliance with all relevant regulations. Maintain a clean, safe, and organised working environment.
- Continuous Improvement: Identify areas for efficiency improvements and implement solutions. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimise processes and reduce downtime.
- Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate records of maintenance work, repairs, and spare parts inventory. Report any major issues to the management team and recommend actionable solutions.
Qualifications and Experience
Education: NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Engineering, Mechanical, or Electrical disciplines.
Experience: Minimum 3 years of experience in a maintenance engineering role, preferably in manufacturing or industrial settings.
Technical Skills:
- Proficient in fault-finding and repair of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
- Experience with PLCs and automated systems is an advantage.
Working Hours:
41 per week (12hr shifts)
Basic Salary - 37,260 per annum
Shift Allowance - 3.50 per hour
