Roles and Responsibilities
- Liaising with Design, Quality, Production and Planning for New Product Introduction
- Developing and improving manufacturing processes for new products
- Problem solving and continuous improvement of production operations
- Creating process flow documents, SOPs, PFMEAs and control plans
- CNC programming using CAD/CAM
- Responsible for identifying areas of improvement and producing detailed plans to increase production flows, decrease cost and increasing efficiencies
Skills and Experience
- Understanding of design for manufacture to enable manufacturing and assembly processes
- Needs experience with 3 and 5 axis CNC milling machines
- Must be able to programme and prove-out using edgeCAM or Fusion360 - Will look at other software's
- Able to carry out production projects through APQP, PFMEA, SOPs and DFM
- Must be capable of prototype machining
