Controls Engineer responsibilities include -

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimise manufacturing processes.
  • Develop, modify, and troubleshoot PLC programs (Siemens S7, TIA) to enhance plant efficiency and address production issues.
  • Continuously refine control systems to improve cycle times and reliability while adhering to established programming standards for PLCs and robotic systems.
  • Mentor and train other team members on PLC programming and automation best practices.

Controls Engineer desirable skills and experience -

  • Experience working in a similar role (Automation Engineer, Maintenance Engineer etc).
  • Knowledge of modern manufacturing methods and techniques.
  • Confident in writing and fault-finding PLC programs using the Siemens S7 / TIA portal.
  • Electrical engineering education (HNC/HNC) or relevant training.
