Controls Engineer - Coventry (Hybrid) - Up to £45,000 per annum plus excellent benefits - Permanent

What You Will Do:

• Support the process for powertrain control requirements development.
• Design, simulate, implement, debug, test, and research control and estimation algorithms for various systems within powertrain systems.
• Engage with suppliers and other stakeholders to review hardware and software attributes.
• Develop energy management/torque management Software and Controls for electric/hybrid/ICE powertrains.
• Work closely with other team members and customers to deliver controls and powertrain engineering projects according to the plan.
• Utilise automotive engineering knowledge/experience in design and validation for electrified powertrain systems.

 What You Could Bring:

• An Engineering/Science Degree (or equivalent) in a relevant field.
• Automotive engineering knowledge/experience in design and validation for electrified powertrain systems.
• Experience in automotive control systems software development, data logging, and calibration tools.
• A working knowledge of vehicle architectures, communication protocols CANFD, FlexRay and Automotive Ethernet.
• Experience with Vector (e.g., CANalyzer, CANape) and Mathworks tools (e.g. Matlab/Simulink) or equivalent.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, with a willingness and ability to work constructively with a global team.
• A valid driving license for the UK.
