The Mould Tool Design Engineer will be responsible for:

  • Designing and developing tooling and fixtures, ensuring DFM principles are incorporated.
  • Creating 3D models, assemblies, and 2D drawings for prototypes and high-volume production.
  • Providing technical support for modifying existing tooling and fixtures
  • Managing the entire design process from concept to production, ensuring smooth project progression.
  • Collaborating with production engineering teams on APQP and IATF documentation, ensuring designs meet quality and manufacturability standards.
  • Developing prototypes using 3D printing technology to validate designs and test functionality.

To be successful in the role of Mould Tool Design Engineer, the ideal candidate will offer the following skills:

  • Experience in a similar position (assembly fixtures and tooling).
  • Knowledge of modern manufacturing methods and techniques.
  • Knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, and pressure vessels would be an advantage.
  • Relevant engineering education and/or training.
