Due to success and growth the business are seeking to recruit a Toolmaker or Tooling Technician for their operations.

Salary is up to 48,000 per annum and overtime at premium rates is available.

The main responsibility for the role is to ensure injection mould tools are serviced and maintained to ensure production runs smoothly with the manufacturing department.

Duties;

As a Toolmaker or Tooling Technician, the duties are as follows;

  • Service and maintenance of injection mould tooling.
  • Carry out repairs to tooling following breakdowns.
  • Carry out any required modifications to existing tooling.
  • Run testing on machinery to ensure repairs and modifications and been completed correctly.

Key skills for this role are as follows;

  • Experienced in the repair and servicing of plastic injection moulding tools.
  • Bench hand skills.
  • Able to read engineering drawings.
  • Milling, turning and grinding skills.
  • Computer literate.
  • Solid attention to detail.
  • Able to work flexible hours.

The shift is a rotating shift (6am-2pm) / (2pm to 10pm) weekly with one week of nights to be worked every 5 weeks (10pm-6am).

The role is based in the Droitwich area so is easily commutable from Birmingham, Bromsgrove, Redditch, Worcester, Kidderminster, Dudley, West Bromwich, Evesham.
