Our client is seeking a skilled Multi-Skilled Maintenance Technician to ensure that plant and equipment are maintained to a high standard, meeting manufacturing requirements and complying with electrical, mechanical, factory, and health and safety regulations. The role involves working rotational two shifts (morning and afternoon.) The primary focus will be on maintaining CNC, conventional machines, and plant equipment.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct corrective repairs on CNC machines, plant, and equipment, ensuring they return to an acceptable condition capable of high performance.
  • Prioritize safety and well-being of operators, maintenance personnel, and third parties during equipment maintenance using appropriate tools.
  • Perform planned corrective maintenance during scheduled shutdowns to restore equipment to full operational condition.
  • Undertake planned preventive maintenance on plant and equipment, utilizing diagnostic and predictive techniques.
  • Support cell operations by providing training in first-line maintenance procedures.
  • Provide installation and refurbishment services for plant equipment to improve company assets continuously.
  • Promote continuous improvement in plant operations by reducing downtime, refining maintenance schedules, and understanding performance measures.
  • Train and advise other maintenance team members where relevant.
  • Attend training courses as reasonably requested.
  • Operate in compliance with company Health, Safety, and Environmental policies and Quality procedures.

Technical Requirements:

  • City and Guilds, equivalent qualifications, or apprenticeship in related fields.
  • Working knowledge of CNC mechanical and electrical repairs (experience with Mazak’s is desirable).
  • Essential knowledge of plant equipment and services, including fault finding and working from machine and plant drawings/manuals.
  • Experience with TPMs and PMs on plant and machinery.
  • Desirable experience with hydraulic power packs and test rigs.
  • 18th Edition qualification is desirable.
  • Relevant experience in the specified duties and responsibilities.
  • Knowledge of statutory regulations is desirable.

Hours:

Morning shift- 06:00-14:00- Mon-Thur- 06:00-12:45 Friday

Afternoon shift- 14:00-22:15 Mon-Thur 12:45-18:15 Friday

Shift enhancement are 14% for this role for the late shift, there is none for the morning shift.
