The Role of Workshop Technician:

  • Based in Coventry workshop, joining an existing team and working 8 - 5 Monday to Friday with overtime available.
  • Predominantly carry out pre-delivery inspections (PDI) and tests, wiring and mechanical modifications as well as recording any issues and fixing equipment so that it will pass installation criteria on customer's site.
  • You will help with the repairing, refurbishing, and maintaining a range of machines which have been returned to the workshop.
  • Working on electrical systems as well as mechanical components, alongside small, pressurised steam systems.
  • You will be testing your existing engineering knowledge and developing new skills along the way.

The Candidate for the Workshop Technician:

  • Basic electrical skills such as wiring a plug, using a multimeter, etc.
  • Electromechanical engineering experience is beneficial.
  • A problem solver.
  • Able to commute to the Coventry workshop daily.
  • Driving licence is essential as there are times you will be needed to drive a company vehicle.
  • Good communication and IT skills.
  • Right to work in the UK without sponsorship

The Package for the Workshop Technician:

  • £25,000 - £27,000 Basic Salary
  • 8-5 Mon-Fri + 1hr lunch break
  • Use of pool vehicle if required
  • Competitive optional overtime opportunities (10 - 20 hours per week on average available)
