The metrologist opportunity:
Reporting to the Metrology Supervisor and Working as part of a small but highly skilled team of metrologists, metrology inspectors and product technicians. The role includes a mix of CMM and remote checking using a variety of measuring equipment across a range of automotive components including gears, mechanisms, powertrain casings, combustion engine parts, and battery EV and Electronic Drive units.
The metrologist will be responsible for, but not limited to:
. Measurement of a multitude of complex machined automotive components using varying types of measurement equipment
. Daily laboratory activities to support requirements for Metrology requests.
. Producing comprehensive measurement reports
. Technical support to all levels of internal stakeholders and customers
. An open, honest, inclusive and collaborative approach, striving for high quality results
You'll be responsible for all safety precautions associated with your role. You'll demonstrate safe working practices and will be ready to challenge your colleagues to do the same. You'll also be empowered to drive process and facility improvements as the function grows.
. Constructing and understanding process/work instructions from and with the client.
