Job Summary:

IMC are seeking a motivated and reliable Band 3 Cardiographer Locum to support our busy Cardiology department in Warwickshire. The successful candidate will work under supervision to perform a range of non-invasive cardiac investigations including ECGs, blood pressure monitoring, and basic rhythm monitoring, ensuring accurate, high-quality patient care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform 12-lead ECGs in accordance with departmental protocols.

  • Fit and remove ambulatory monitors (e.g., 24-hour ECGs, Holter monitors, blood pressure monitors).

  • Download and prepare reports from cardiac devices for analysis.

  • Ensure correct identification and preparation of patients for cardiac procedures.

  • Provide reassurance and clear explanations to patients throughout procedures.

  • Maintain accurate records and ensure patient data is correctly entered into relevant systems.

  • Liaise with multidisciplinary teams and escalate any urgent findings appropriately.

  • Adhere to infection prevention and control measures at all times.

  • Support the wider cardiac physiology team as required.

Essential Criteria:

  • Previous experience performing ECGs and using cardiac monitoring equipment.

  • Good understanding of cardiac anatomy and physiology.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  • IT literacy and familiarity with patient data systems.

  • Flexibility to work various shifts if required.
