Freelance Design Manager

Skilled Careers are currently recruiting for a Tier 1 contractor for a education project and looking for a skilled and experienced Freelance Design Manager. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in design, project management, and communication, able to balance creativity with timely execution.
Responsibilities:
- Lead design projects from concept to completion, ensuring quality and alignment with client goals.
- Manage a team of designers, providing guidance, feedback, and support.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define project requirements and timelines.
- Ensure all designs are delivered on time, within scope, and meet high standards of quality.
- Review and approve design work, ensuring consistency across all materials.
- Communicate effectively with clients and stakeholders, managing expectations and providing regular updates.
- Handle multiple design projects simultaneously, managing priorities and resources efficiently.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Design Manager or in a similar role.
- Strong portfolio showcasing a variety of design projects.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills.
- Proficiency in design software (Adobe Creative Suite, Sketch, Figma, etc.).
- Solid understanding of design principles, branding, and UX/UI.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
Preferred:
- Experience working in both digital and print design.
- Knowledge of design trends and industry best practices.
