Responsibilities
Company Policies: Manage and follow the quality, health, safety, and all policies of the company
Work Closely as part of the electronics systems team to develop high quality cost effective electrical distribution systems
Design and develop new EDS designs in VeSys
Carry out continuous development of existing designs
Support idea generation and problem resolution through day-to-day working and structured Design Reviews
Develop specifications from customer and internal requirements
Prepare and release harness manufacturing data using VeSys
Work closely with Manufacturing to agree feasible manufacturing solutions and to control the engineering change process
Develop test and validation procedures and specifications
Work closely with electronics system designers to develop high-quality, cost-effective interconnect system
Help develop definition of interface requirements for subsystems and components
Help develop preferred connector strategy
Manage documentation as part of change management process for existing systems
Specify test plans for developed systems
Complete design verification and function sign off in line with project deadlines
Always support your team
Essential Skills
Electrical Engineering degree or equivalent within a relevant subject
3 – 5 years professional experience in electrical systems development within an Automotive setting or with an OEM or tier 1 supplier
Electrical integration and fault-finding experience
In depth understanding of harness and schematic drawings
Good Understanding of CAD and CAE Literacy
Understanding of fuse box, PDS and grounding strategies
Discipline to follow technical and administrational procedures
Practical harness building
Understanding importance of managing engineering change requests and claim management
Strong communication skills
Excels in organisational skills and time management
A drive to learn and improve at every opportunity with willingness to support others
Positive attitude towards mastering challenges and changes
Must have IDLR/Full Rights to Work in UK - Sponsorship or Work Permits will not be accepted/ provided.
Desirable Skills
Experience in VeSys
Experience in Catia
Catia E3D working knowledge
EMC design good practice
Electrical component development experience
Knowledge of basic electronics
Modern harness manufacturing processes
