LTF Recruitment is working alongside a welcoming two from entry primary school who are currently seeking a new Year 6 class teacher to join their team! The role is offered until the end of the academic year with the opportunity to become permanent for the successful candidate.

Main Duties Within the Role:

  • Planning and delivering engaging sessions to children in Year 6.
  • Preparing students for their end-of-year assessments (SATs) and ensuring they reach their full potential.
  • Assess, monitor, record, and report on the learning needs, progress, and achievements of assigned pupils, making accurate and productive use of assessment.
  • Managing challenging any behaviour in the classroom
  • Collaborating with the classroom TA to provide targeted support for specific children.
  • Leading parent evenings and providing regular feedback on pupil progress.
  • Differentiating planning to meet a range of needs within the class, including SEN pupils.

What are the schools looking for?

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential (ECTs welcome to apply).
  • Experience of teaching within KS2, ideally Year 6.
  • Someone who can engage children in their learning and prepare them for the transition to secondary school.
  • Excellent classroom management and an engaging teaching style.
