Quality Inspector

Our client, a new British electric motorcycle manufacturer, are seeking a Quality Inspector to join their team. You will work closely with the Quality Manager at their Coventry site and will be responsible for inspecting incoming components from their suppliers to ensure they meet quality standards. Additionally, you will support quality-driven problem-solving initiatives in their assembly processes. Collaboration with the Engineering department on future developments will also be a key aspect of this role, contributing to continuous improvement across the business.

Responsibilities:

  • Performing goods inwards inspections of components to ensure they meet the required specifications and standards.
  • Operating and programming of CMM/Roma Arm for precise measurement and inspection tasks (scanning and probe)
  • Using measuring equipment such as vernier callipers, micrometres, gauges. etc.
  • Creating inspection reports and maintaining accurate records
  • Identifying and reporting non-conformances or quality issues
  • Supporting the investigation of quality control issues and defects
  • Supporting improvements and corrective action activities
  • Maintain inspection equipment and calibration records to ensure accuracy and reliability

Experience Required:

  • A good knowledge of inspection measurement equipment and measuring from first principals.
  • CMM programming experience - PC-DMIS
  • An understanding / working knowledge of ISO 9001 requirements
  • The ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and GD&T principles
  • Competency in using computer systems for documentation and reporting (e.g., MS Office, quality
  • management software).
