A Tier 1 supplier to the automotive industry that manufactures an array of high-precision components, is now looking for a Project Manager to join their growing organisation.

Reporting to the Platform Manager, the Project Manager will take control of full, end-to-end projects, ensuring customer expectations and quality standards are exceeded. You will utilise internal stakeholders to deliver project timings to customers in order to set their expectations which you will then need to adhere to.

With an understanding of production processes in a high-precision environment, you will take a lead on, and matrix manage, other departments in the business that will also be involved in other projects. This will test your ability to win the hearts and minds of people who do not directly report to you, getting them to treat your projects as a priority.

The main areas of responsibility for the Project Manager are listed below:

  • Program timing and budgets
  • Design and development of new products
  • Manage the Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) of new products and their launch
  • Lead and coordinate the program activities

The ideal candidate will have worked on projects, ideally within an SME, delivering electro-mechanical solutions to high-profile customers. You will have been responsible for every aspect of delivery, from concept to finished goods, ensuring the customer and budget is managed to an equally high standard.

In addition, you will need the following:

  • Be able to read and fully interpret engineering drawings and standards
  • Proficiency in the full MS Office Suite
  • The ability to liaise with internal and external stakeholders at all levels
  • Ideally have experience with tooling, moulding or electro-mechanical components
