Project Manager

Coventry, Warwickshire

Retail fit-out

55,000 - 65,000 + Car Allowance , Package

I love the business model of this company and they work with some quality retail clients. They understand their strengths and limitations which I think is a quality rarely seen in construction. They aren't afraid to turn work away if they can't deliver on it (recently done with Costa) which also protects their brand and credibility.

They're looking for a Project Manager to oversee the delivery of mutliple concurrent projects. Some of the recent work they're winining is valued up to 2m so experience with this size of job is important.

Your role will be delivery focussed. Taking projects from the pre-construction team, formulating a programme, liaising with the client and delivering the project.

General duties will include:

    • Attend project tender interviews
    • Review and comment on Contract documentation
    • Produce project protocol documentation
    • Arrange and chair internal project kick off meetings ensuring all aspects of the business are briefed on the details of the project
    • Production of Construction Phase Plan
    • Arrange and chair subcontractor and client meetings
    • Review and approval of all drawings to ensure accuracy before issuing to client team
    • Assessment of sub contractor packages and negotiating, ensuring best possible commercial and programme packages are achieved
    • Development of project programme from tender programme to fully functioning project programme
    • Identify and maximise cost changes throughout the contract
    • Ability to lead a project team throughout the course of the contract
    • Sourcing of a Site Management team for relevant projects
    • Sourcing of a site team for relevant projects
    • Regular site visits to assess progress and liaise closely with site team
    • Production of O&M manuals
