The Opportunity

As part of our Client’s growth plans, they are looking for an individual who is well established in the area of International Sales and has experience in selling products to the Retail and Distribution Sectors. 

This is an opportunity for an ambitious sales professional to enhance their career with the support of a highly regarded and rapidly growing brand.

 Purpose of the Job:

Manage and own all sales activities in the specific customer category of ‘International Sales’ through distributors to ensure quality and consistency of product and service delivery.  Responsible for maintaining and developing sales within both existing customers and new businesses from key target customers.

Key Responsibilities - Essential Job Functions:

This self-motivated individual will be responsible for supporting the following objectives:

  • Present and sell our Client’s products and services to current and potential key customers.
  • Support existing distributors and their sales teams to deliver to their end user.
  • Develop new distributors in specified areas.
  • Support and drive marketing activity to increase sales in the International Customer Base.
  • Support Sales Team with customer enquiries for products.
  • Achieve Monthly & Yearly budgets and KPI’s.
  • Up to 70% of time on foreign travel visiting customers and prospects.
  • Prepare action plans and schedules to identify specific targets.
  • Follow up and convert new leads and referrals.
  • Identify sales prospects, contact and convert into Customers.
  • Deliver any company marketing activity messages when applicable.
  • Identify and resolve customer/client concerns and then drive further activity within said customer.
  • Prepare a variety of status reports, including activity, closings, follow-up and adherence to goals entered into the Halogen system.
  • Drive and maintain all activity via Salesforce.
  • Communicate new product and service opportunities as well as competitor information.
  • Coordinate company staff to accomplish the work required to close sales & achieve budgets.
  • Participate in marketing events such as product training, customer trade shows and company events.
  • Provide on-the-job training to the international sales team and new employees of relevant product categories to enable them to generate relevant leads.
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned by line manager.
  • Identify product market trends and feed back into the business.

Experience & Education:

Essential:

  • Proven track record of selling into international distributors of varying sizes.
  • Ability to demonstrate an analytical approach to reporting sales figures and data.
  • Ability to demonstrate an analytical approach to technical solutions.
  • Sales and training experience, with an emphasis on physical demonstrations and feature and benefit discussion.
  • Good general education with a demonstration of language and numeracy capabilities.
  • Computer literate (All windows packages as well as competent CRM usage).
  • Ability to travel abroad regularly each month.

Desirable:

  • Foreign languages.

Full driving license, manual.
