About The Company:

Our client, a prestigious university, is looking for a senior procurement manager to assist in their transition to a new IT system. This role involves overseeing IT projects, particularly the procurement of new hardware and software compatible with their updated infrastructure.

Procurement Manager – The Role:

The IT Procurement Manager will play a key role in managing the procurement of new hardware and software. This role involves overseeing the transition to a new IT system, ensuring all procured items meet the university’s requirements and standards.

Procurement Manager – Key Responsibilities:

- Provide guidance to stakeholders, including Senior Management, on current legislation and internal policies

- Offer advice on tendering as part of the strategic procurement process, including appropriate terms and conditions

- Identify and assess risks throughout the procurement lifecycle and recommend mitigation strategies

- Develop and recommend internal policies to align with broader governmental procurement policies

- Monitor contract compliance and recommend actions to address any noncompliance

- Manage timelines to ensure project deadlines are met and communicated effectively

Procurement Manager – You:

- Bachelor's degree

- IT specialist with at least 5 years’ experience in procuring IT hardware and software

- Strong knowledge of IT legislation and contracts

- Experience in overseeing IT projects, particularly those involving system transitions

- Ability to develop and enforce procurement policies
