Cedar are supporting a Public Sector client based in Coventry who are looking for a Procurement Officer. This is a permanent job opportunity offered a salary of up to 40,000 plus Benefits. The role will operate on a hybrid working basis with the expectations to be on-site 2 days per week in Coventry with the remaining days working from home.

Reporting into the Head of Procurement the successful candidate will be responsible for managing daily operational procurement covering areas such as; spend analytics, internal SharePoint, contracts database and pipeline, category spend reports, supplier onboarding and due diligence. You will need to have a strong systems-based background, familiar with spend analysis tools, portals and data feeds. The successful candidate will also be responsible for manging a range of low value procurements.

Candidates applying MUST HAVE:

  • c3-5 years minimum working in a similar role in Procurement within the Public Sector
  • hands on experience with Procurement tools to support activity such as Spend Analytics, Monthly MI, Supplier Onboarding etc.
  • good understand of Procurement law and Public Sector Frameworks
  • undergoing CIPS studies would be advantageous but is not required
