Oversee the strategic purchasing of mechanical, electrical, and logistics categories.
Manage supplier relationships and negotiate contracts to ensure the best quality and cost efficiency.
Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand purchasing needs and align procurement strategies accordingly.
Monitor market trends to identify potential procurement opportunities and risks.
Ensure procurement procedures align with industry regulations and company policies.
Manage and mentor junior procurement team members.
Contribute to the development and execution of the procurement department's strategy.
Implement and maintain an effective supplier performance management system.

Profile

A successful Senior Buyer' should have:

Experience within procurement and in particular indirects
Open to travel between Coventry and the South
Candidate should come with experience in indirect procurement
Must do some time off site in factories
