Assistant/Junior Quantity Surveyor – Bespoke Steel Work Contractor - £30 - £32k Salary

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a specialist Steel Work solutions construction contractor based in the Midlands. The requirement is for an Assistant Quantity Surveyor who has circa 1 year plus construction experience. You will be in an office based role with a QS to gain support and learn from. Projects are nationwide but you will mainly be in the office with some potential site visits. There will be plenty of opportunity for growth and progression with the right can do attitude.

Projects are located nationwide and will consist of steel work, RSJ beams, Architectural metalwork and cut & calve. Projects can range up to a value of £1m

Assistant Quantity Surveyor Position Overview

  • Ensuring project costings are met
  • Ensuring compliance with the project requirements

  • Review, prepare and issue Forecast Final Account (Cost Report)
  • Prepare, submit final account on completion of works

Assistant Quantity Surveyor Position Requirements

  • 1 year plus working as a QS within the construction industry
  • Proven experience of delivering construction projects
  • A-Level, HND, NVQ or Degree level qualified
  • Excellent mathematical skills
  • Good organisational and administrative skills
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Experience using Microsoft Office and excel
