We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced Design Technology Technician to join our team on a full-time basis, with the potential for a permanent position.Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the preparation and delivery of design technology lessons.
  • Create and maintain teaching modules and resources.
  • Operate and maintain workshop machinery, including pillar drills, band saws, and circular saws.
  • Perform general maintenance tasks, such as changing belts and bands on machinery.
  • Ensure a safe and organised workshop environment.
  • Support students in their practical work and projects.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in carpentry and working with various woodworking machinery.
  • Strong knowledge of health and safety regulations in a workshop setting.
  • Ability to create and maintain educational modules.
  • Excellent organisational and communication skills.
  • A proactive and flexible approach to work.
