Hays are looking for English tutors in and around the Coventry area. The role is part-time, 20 hours per week, but you will need to be available from Monday-Friday. Hays education work with several schools and adult education centres in the Coventry and Warwickshire areas. We offer high-quality day to day and long-term cover on a full and part-time basis. This tutoring role involves using diverse methods, including e-learning and differentiated learning, to support students. Responsibilities include assessing and supporting learners on placement, monitoring and reviewing programs, providing guidance, and creating individual learning plans. The role requires punctuality and ensuring a conducive learning environment. Non-contact duties encompass planning, preparing resources, designing courses, providing course information, enroling students, attending meetings, maintaining records, assessing progress, and staying updated with subject developments.

What you'll need to succeed

  • English and maths at Level 2
  • Relevant English specific qualifications
  • Relevant teaching qualification at Level 4/5 and/or substantial relevant teaching experience
  • Experience of teaching in a formal or non-formal setting
  • Excellent curriculum knowledge
