Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) - Year 6 - Sats prep - Gosford Green (CV1) - £100-£120 a day - start ASAP

Long Term Futures are hiring for a school in Gosford Green (CV1) who are looking for a whole class teaching assistant. You will be the teaching assistant for the whole class of Year 6 in preparation for their SATs, leading interventions to improve attainment and covering lessons in the absence of the class teacher.

Key responsibilities

  • Facilitating pre-planned lessons in the absence of a class teacher
  • Assist in preparing and organising resources to facilitate a smooth-running learning environment
  • Assist teacher in class and support students who may require extra help
  • Must be patient and willing to help students who may be struggling with exam content
  • Communicate effectively with staff to better understand the needs of students

Role requirements:

  • Experience working in a school preferably in primary education
  • Understanding of the SAT curriculum to be able to assist in preparation
  • Ability to communicate effectively with students and staff
  • Have a proactive attitude towards education and positive attitude towards working with children
