We're looking for someone to join our Security Operations Centre team as an on-site CCTV Control Room Operator and Security Officer.Based at our head office sites in Coventry the Security Operations Centre (SOC) Control Room Operator is responsible for monitoring and managing the Society’s security systems, including CCTV, intruder detection, and access control. This role also involves overseeing the security of our branches and ATM networks, providing active security monitoring, responding to incidents, and ensuring compliance with security protocols to safeguard assets and people.Monitoring and operating intruder alarm systems and responding to any activation, as well as being a first point of contact for all security related incidents will also be key. Being responsible for completing security site patrols and visit business premises as required are important tasks.Part of the role will be providing excellent customer service as the role will liaise with members of staff and external parties. Keeping up to date with regulations and changes will be key as well as supporting your management team with department administration, maintaining security audit, incident and compliance management information,Our Security Operations Centre operates 24 hours per day, 7 days a week. The shift pattern includes days and nights, using 12 hours shifts, with 4 shifts on and 4 shifts off.To be successful you'll already have recent experience working with CCTV systems and security alarm systems. You'll have excellent customer service, observation and strong communication skills, verbal and written.Previous experience of security control room and a good knowledge of their operations will also be needed, as well as security monitoring systems, CCTV, and alarm technologies knowledge.IT skills will be needed and full training will be provided on all of our CCTV and alarm systems.As a mutual, we’ve always worked together to improve the lives of others.
