Our client, a leading accommodation and support service provider, is seeking a dedicated individual to join their team as a Care Leavers Support Worker. This role is crucial in providing support to young people leaving care, those who have faced homelessness, and unaccompanied children seeking asylum. Position: Care Leavers Support WorkerLocation: Community-based and Shared Living Settings across CoventryHours: 37.5 hours per week across 5 daysShift Pattern: Combination of Early Shifts (8:00 - 16:00) and Late Shifts (14:15 - 22:15)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide tailored support to young people in their own accommodation or shared living environments.
  • Develop and implement support plans that promote independence and well-being.
  • Assist with daily living tasks, budgeting, and accessing education, employment, or training opportunities.
  • Build positive relationships and act as a role model.
  • Ensure the safety and welfare of the young people in your care.
  • Collaborate with external agencies and services to provide comprehensive support.
  • Maintain accurate records and contribute to regular reviews of the support provided.

Requirements:

  • Full UK driving license and access to your own vehicle (mileage paid in addition to hourly rate).
  • Relevant experience in a similar role or working with young people.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • A compassionate and empathetic approach.
  • Flexibility to work across early and late shifts.
