Job Description:

We are looking for a caring and dedicated Childrens Support Worker to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing high-quality care and support to children and young people in a residential setting or out in the community. You will work closely with a team of professionals to ensure the safety, well-being, and development of each child in your care.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide day-to-day care and emotional support to children and young people.
Assist with daily routines, including meals and activities.
Support children in their educational, social, and recreational activities.
Implement individual care plans and work towards set goals for each child.
Promote a positive, nurturing environment that encourages growth and development.
Liaise with families, schools, and other professionals involved in the childs care.
Maintain accurate records and documentation in line with organisational policies.
Respond to challenging behaviour in a calm and constructive manner.

Qualifications:

Experience working with children or young people, preferably in a residential or social care setting.
Relevant qualifications in childcare, social care, or a related field (e.g., NVQ Level 3 in Children and Young People's Workforce).
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work as part of a team and on your own initiative.
A compassionate, patient, and resilient nature.
Understanding of safeguarding practices and procedures.
Flexibility to work shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
