Can you make a real difference to people's lives? Join our passionate and dedicated team as a Support Worker in Adult Social Care. These are permanent, full-time positions working 37.5 hours per week, including weekends, working as part of our dynamic shift rota based in rural Somerset, near Taunton. The hours of work are 08.00 - 20.30, 3 days a week on a rota basis and will include weekends. You do not need previous experience as the client offers excellent training and certified support, and the role is all about finding the right people with the right attitude to caring for others.

About the Service Facility: This registered care home is operated by a Christian charity that manages several homes across the UK. The organisation is dedicated to helping individuals with convictions transform their lives, providing everyone with a second chance. Located in Taunton, this role involves supporting individuals with diverse needs, including substance misuse, mental health challenges, and learning disabilities.

Your Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide compassionate personal care to clients, including washing, bathing, dressing, and assisting with toilet care.
  • Support clients in managing their daily activities and promoting independence.
  • Develop and implement personalised Care Plans.
  • Maintain accurate health-related records and documentation.
  • Assess and manage risks to ensure the safety and well-being of our clients.
  • Collaborate with team members and stakeholders to provide holistic care.

  • A caring and empathetic nature.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. (Applicants will need to complete a short literacy and numeracy test at the initial interview)
  • Flexibility to work a weekly shift rota that includes weekends as part of the rota.
