Our client, a leading accommodation and support service provider, is looking for a dedicated Waking Night Support Worker to join their team. This role is vital in ensuring the safety and well-being of young people leaving care, those who have faced homelessness, and unaccompanied children seeking asylum.
Position: Waking Night Support WorkerLocation: Community-based and shared living settings across CoventryShift Pattern: Rolling rota of 4 nights on, 4 nights off (22:00 - 08:00)
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide support to young people in their own accommodation or shared living environments during the night.
- Ensure young people meet curfews and monitor for unauthorised visitors.
- Respond to any emergencies or incidents, ensuring the safety and security of the young people.
- Offer emotional support and guidance during the night as needed.
- Conduct regular checks on the property and residents.
- Maintain accurate records and report any concerns or incidents.
- Collaborate with day staff to ensure continuity of care and support.
Requirements:
- Full UK driving license, business insurance, and access to your own vehicle (mileage paid in addition to hourly rate).
- Relevant experience in a similar role or working with young people.
- Strong observational and communication skills.
- Ability to stay alert and attentive throughout the night.
- A compassionate and empathetic approach.
- Flexibility to work night shifts on a rotational basis.
