Duties of a Software Engineer:
- As a vital member of our team you will be required to create bespoke automation solutions for our manufacturing requirements. The role requires you to undertake HMI and Plc design, programming, commissioning, alongside providing support throughout complete project lifecycle.
- On occasions you may also be asked to support with the robot programming, vision systems and have an understanding of good manufacturing practice guidelines.
- Collaborate with clients and internal staff to design concepts that meet requirements.
- Assist in developing cost estimates for proposals.
- Create validation documentation, including software design specifications, test records and supporting documentation like O&M manuals, software releases, and disaster recovery plans.
- Design, code, commission, test and provide aftermarket support for our bespoke machinery worldwide.
- Conduct system validation, including Factory Acceptance Testing and oversee validation.
Requirements of a Software Engineer:
- Proven experience designing PLC, HMI and SCADA software alongside supporting existing applications.
- Competent with communication protocols (e.g., EtherCAT, Profinet, CAN, IP, Serial, etc.).
- Competent with IEC 61131-3, C# or Java Structured Text.
- Understanding of object-oriented programming and source control using Git.
