LTF Recruitment is looking for a committed and experienced Teaching Assistant to join our partner primary school in the Coventry area, focusing on Key Stage 2 pupils. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is passionate about supporting children with SEN. The successful candidate will be instrumental in supporting students who require additional assistance to succeed both academically and socially. This long-term position offers the potential to become permanent for the right individual.

The Role:

  • Provide 1:1 support to Key Stage 2 pupils with SEN, focusing on tailored strategies to meet their individual needs.
  • Facilitate small group sessions, encouraging engagement, social interaction, and collaborative learning among pupils with SEN.
  • Encourage active participation in classroom activities, creating a supportive and inclusive environment for all learners.
  • Deliver targeted interventions that promote pupils' personal development, wellbeing, and confidence within the school setting.

What we are looking for:

  • A recognised Teaching Assistant qualification or a relevant degree.
  • Previous experience in a primary school environment, ideally working within Key Stage 2.
  • Additional training such as TeamTeach or Positive Behaviour Management is highly advantageous.
  • Proven ability to manage challenging behaviours, supported by a strong knowledge of effective behaviour management techniques.
  • Hands-on experience supporting pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN).
