LTF Recruitment is looking for a committed and experienced Behaviour Mentor to join our partner primary school in the Coventry area, focusing on Key Stage 1 pupils. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is passionate about promoting positive behaviour in children with SEN. The successful candidate will be instrumental in supporting students who require additional assistance to succeed both academically and socially. This long-term position offers the potential to become permanent for the right individual.

The Role:

  • Offer 1:1 support to a Key Stage 1 pupil with challenging behaviour, ensuring clear and consistent boundaries are maintained.
  • Work closely with teaching staff to design and implement strategies that enhance behavioural outcomes.
  • Encourage active involvement and participation in classroom activities.
  • Provide targeted interventions to support students' learning, wellbeing, and personal development.

What we are looking for:

  • A relevant Teaching Assistant qualification or degree.
  • Experience working in a primary school setting, preferably within Key Stage 1.
  • Qualifications like TeamTeach or training in Positive Behaviour Management are highly desirable.
  • Demonstrated experience in managing challenging behaviours, with a solid understanding of behaviour management strategies.
  • Experience working with Special Educational Needs (SEN) pupils.
