Our small, alternative provision secondary school specialises in catering to students with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), anxiety, and Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. We are seeking a passionate Food Technology Teacher to join our team on a maternity cover basis until July 2025.Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver engaging Food Technology lessons tailored to the needs of students with ASD, anxiety, and SEMH.
  • Create a safe and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation and creativity.
  • Develop and implement individualised learning plans to support student progress.
  • Collaborate with other staff members to ensure a holistic approach to student development.
  • Monitor and assess student performance, providing feedback and support as needed.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Experience teaching Food Technology, preferably within a special educational needs setting.
