Maths Teacher (SEN)

Location: Meriden, Coventry

Salary: Paid to scale

Contract Type: Full-time, Permanent, ASAP

School Overview:Prospero Teaching is working with a SEN school on the outskirts of Coventry that caters to students aged 11-19 with complex anxiety associated with autism spectrum disorder and/or early trauma. All the students will have an education, health and care plan (EHCP).

Role Overview:

Prospero teaching is seeking an energetic Maths Teacher to deliver a curriculum tailored to engage and support SEN students. This role involves helping students develop their numeracy skills through adaptive teaching methods that encourage confidence and independent learning.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver Maths lessons adapted to the needs of SEN students.
  • Use creative and individualised approaches to make Maths accessible and engaging.
  • Work closely with support staff to implement personalised learning and behaviour plans.
  • Track and report on student progress, adjusting teaching strategies as needed.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in Maths or a related field.
  • Experience working with SEN students, with a flexible and positive teaching approach.
