Strategic Sourcing Senior Specialist - 39852 - £37.11/hr umbrella rate
Do you have procurement experience, and are you seeking a new contract in Coventry? Jonathan Lee Recruitment is helping a leading automotive company recruit a Strategic Sourcing Senior Specialist. Reporting to the Global Commodity Leader, you will have Global responsibility for specific commodities on behalf of the company. This role is a pivotal role for interface with other key functions within the business and acts as a core conduit for true cross functional working across Production Purchasing, MP&L, STA, Product Engineering, Cost Engineering and Manufacturing.
In the role of Strategic Sourcing Senior Specialist, you will have the following key responsibilities:
- Utilise your experience to analyse, define, and implement market and sourcing strategies for your designated commodities.
- Lead the Global sourcing activity through the Global Sourcing Process (GSP) up to contract award (SCPA).
- Global Strategy and Sourcing activity will be supported by the Regional Delivery teams for your commodities, utilising regional market intelligence.
- Lead the development of the supplier and internal stakeholder relationships to ensure strategic and programme alignment.
- Manage suppliers within your designated commodities, responsible for Supplier Business Reviews ensuring that the Global Commodity Strategy and Supply Base Market strategy is effectively deployed throughout all of JLR and the external supply chain.

Additional Information:
** THIS POSITION IS CONFIRMED INSIDE IR35 **
Hybrid - Circa two/three days in office depends on business needs. These are not set but agreed at local level. The candidate will need to be flexible on this arrangement
