Our client, a leading institution based in the Midlands, is looking for a Senior Procurement Manager to join their Estates Department. This is a key role that will help shape procurement strategies and deliver efficient, value-driven contracts for the institution’s diverse and extensive estate portfolio.

Procurement Manager – The Role:

This role involves leading a portfolio of procurement projects and developing category-based strategies to ensure the delivery of best-value contracts. You will be tasked with driving savings, ensuring compliance, and optimising efficiency across estates-related procurement activities. The role also requires managing supplier relationships, contract negotiations, and addressing financial and legal risk.

Procurement Manager – Main Responsibilities:

- Design and manage procurement strategies for estate management projects

- Oversee supplier negotiations, contract management, and ensure compliance with procurement processes

- Manage an annual spend exceeding £10 million, ensuring value for money and risk mitigation

- Lead category-based procurement to support the long-term estate strategy

- Build and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers and internal stakeholders

- Ensure contracts are executed in line with their policies and legal requirements

Procurement Manager – You:

- MCIPS qualification or currently working towards it

- Extensive experience in procurement within estates or construction sectors

- Proven ability to manage large procurement projects and significant budgets (over £10M)

- Strong negotiation skills and expertise in change management

- A solid understanding of procurement processes, financial, and legal risk management

- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
