X7 Driver/Passenger Assistant - Join Our Compassionate Team in Coventry!Hours: 20 hours per week (split shift, term-time only)Are you looking for a rewarding job where you can make a difference?  Driver/Passenger Assistants to help provide safe, caring transportation for some of the most vulnerable people in our community. About the Role: You’ll be driving a standard minibus with wheelchair access, picking up and transporting service users (mostly children with Special Educational Needs or vulnerable adults) to their destinations safely. You’ll also assist with loading wheelchairs and managing any challenging behaviour that may arise. This is a split shift role: 4 hours a day, 5 days a week (morning & afternoon), term-time only. Key Responsibilities:
  • Transport passengers to schools, day care centres, and other destinations in a safe and caring manner.
  • Assist with loading/unloading large wheelchairs.
  • Complete all necessary paperwork.
  • Ensure the safety and well-being of service users.
  • Provide outstanding customer service while remaining professional, calm, and patient.
What We're Looking For:
  • Ideally a D1 driving license (but we may consider candidates without a D1 license for non-minibus vehicles).
  • Enhanced DBS required (we’ll arrange this for you).
  • Willing to undertake defensive driving and MIDAS courses.
  • Professionalism, patience, and a genuine desire to support people with special needs.
  • Flexible, reliable, and punctual.
