Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer (Electrical Bias)

Location: Coventry
Salary: £35,000 - £42,500 per annum
Hours: 3 Shift Rotation

  • 6am – 2pm
  • 2pm – 10pm
  • 10pm – 6am

Our client is seeking an experienced Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer (Electrical Bias) to join their team. This role involves fault-finding on Siemens PLCs to reduce downtime and maximise machine capability. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining, repairing, and continuously improving production machinery, equipment, and systems.

Key Requirements:
  • Time-served apprentice or NVQ in mechanical and electrical engineering.
  • Strong understanding of electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems, with the ability to read technical drawings.
  • PLC fault-finding experience (Siemens).
  • Experience in fault-finding on ABB Robots.
  • 18th Edition in Electrical Installation (desirable).
Key Responsibilities:
  • Minimise downtime and optimise machine capability.
  • Perform maintenance, repair, and continuous improvement activities on production machinery.
  • Conduct daily and weekly routine maintenance in combination with supporting continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Identify and procure machine spares and consumables as required.
  • Assist and oversee service engineers, contractors, and vendors when necessary.
  • Ensure efficient shift handovers to maintain safe and optimally operating machinery.
  • Read and interpret electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic technical drawings.
