HGV Mechanic / Technician / Heavy Goods Fitter who has experience as an HGV Fitter/Mechanic, dealing with fault diagnosis, maintenance, repairs, hydraulics and FORS knowledge is required for a well-established company based in Coventry, West Midlands.

We have a fantastic new job opportunity for an HGV Mechanic / Technician / Heavy Goods Fitterwho has experience as an HGV Fitter/Mechanic, dealing with fault diagnosis, maintenance, repairs, hydraulics and FORS knowledge.
Working as the HGV Mechanic / Technician / Heavy Goods Fitter you will join the growing team to repair and maintain the company’s fleet of HGV’s, trailers and vans.
As the HGV Mechanic / Technician / Heavy Goods Fitter you will be based in a busy workshop environment.

DUTIES
Your duties as an HGV Mechanic / Technician / Heavy Goods Fitterinclude:
- All levels of maintenance, repairs and major overhauls as well as completing standard servicing and diagnostics
- You must be capable of following the repair process from fault analysis to completion
- Work with a Transport Manager
- MOT Prep & Presentation for 6 or 8 weekly inspections
- LGV Trailer repairs & Preparation
- Van Servicing (Connect, Custom, Transit - Type vans)
- Service and repair on a large fleet of excavators, dumpers, general & heavy plant
CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS
- FORS knowledge
- Experience dealing with hydraulics
- Experience working as an HGV Mechanic/Techncian/Fitter
- Desirable: Be apprentice trained and qualified to City & Guilds level 3 in Heavy Vehicle Mechanics, Maintenance & Repair or equivalent, time served
- Having a C + E (class 1) driving licence is beneficial but not essential
- Industry leading training (IRTEC)
