On behalf of our client, we are seeking an experianced HGV Technician. Our ideal caniddate will be responsible for maintaitning commercial vehicles and trailers to MOT standard.

LOCATION: Coventry WORKING HOURS: Tuesday - Friday evenings - 48 hours contract ( 4x 12 hours shift) Start time 7PM finish 7AM ( inclusive of a 30 minute paid break).

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Carry out instections, maintenance and repairs on a rage of HGVs ( all makes of vehicles) and trailers to VOSA standard
  • Diagnose and rectify faults efficiently
  • Attend disabled vehicles at the roadsire or at customer's permises
  • Laise with parts department to attain parts
  • Ensure all work is completed to high standards of safety and quality
  • ensure appropriate closking is made, all job cardsand service sheets are complated in a timely manner
  • maintain a highs standard of cleanliness and tidness
  • maintain a though and current product knowledge and attend training courses

YOUR EXPERIANCE/SKILLS:

  • Ability to work as a part of the team
  • Excellent customer care skills
  • Awareness and undertsanding of health and safety requirements
  • Ability to activley seek solutions to problems
  • Good verbal communications skills
  • Technical qualification ( City & Guilds or NVQ qualified technician) or proven experiance repairing and maintaining vehicles
  • ADR
  • current driving licence
