LGV Mechanic

Job Title: Site LGV Mechanic/FitterLocation: Coventry

Job Description:Reed Specialist Recruitment is seeking an experienced and qualified LGV Mechanic/Fitter on behalf of our client. With a significant fleet of LGVs operating throughout the country, we need skilled mechanics to perform repairs and planned maintenance both at our client's sites and on the roadside. This position is based at the Meriden depot but will involve substantial time on the road.

Responsibilities:

• Repair and maintain LGV units and a variety of trailers including walking floors, timber cranes, tippers, and curtain-sided trailers.
• Ensure efficient use of time and resources while maintaining LGVs.

Requirements:

• Experience in maintaining LGVs.
• Relevant qualifications (City & Guilds, NVQ, or B/TEC).
• Background in an LGV workshop or as a mobile fitter.

Working Hours:

• Negotiable hours during dayshift, primarily Monday to Friday.
• Some weekend work may be required.

General Hours:

• Monday to Friday: 7am – 5:30pm
• Saturday (on rotation): 8am – 12pm
