Vehicle Build Technician

Working hours: Monday to Friday 7:30am – 4:00pm

Their new project offers an exciting opportunity for a Build Technician to get hands-on with cutting-edge autonomous technology. As part of this innovative project, you will be involved in the assembly, modification, and mechanical build of an electric, self-driving vehicle that’s set to revolutionise the industry.

Day to Day Responsibilities:

  • Building and modifying prototypes as well as production vehicles
  • Recording detailed build information and maintaining documentation
  • Attending design and production meetings to support team objectives
  • Assisting with the assembly and repair of vehicle mechanical systems
  • Performing vehicle bodywork repairs as needed
  • Supporting vehicle restoration projects, including full rebuilds
  • Working closely with a highly skilled team on various technical tasks

Key Requirements:

  • Minimum of 2 years of technical expertise in a mechanical, build, or body shop environment
  • Technical qualification or relevant hands-on experience
  • Proficient in vehicle servicing, mechanical assembly, and repair
  • Experience in vehicle bodywork repairs and metal fabrication, including welding, brazing, and soldering will be a significant advantage.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to think on your feet.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a well-established team.
