Belcan Workforce Solutions is offering a 12-month contract opportunity for a Mechanical Planner and Execution Lead at the Fife site of a multinational oil and gas corporation. This full-time, on-site position falls within the IR35 framework and involves 20% fieldwork and 80% office work. The Mechanical Planner and Execution Lead will report to the Mechanical First Line Supervisor and be part of the Maintenance organization.

The Mechanical Planner and Execution Lead is responsible for managing all notifications within their area of responsibility. This includes field scoping of reported defects to allow detailed planning of corrective or preventative maintenance repairs within a given timeframe. The role also involves developing detailed job plans, including labour estimates, to ensure efficient execution of maintenance activities.

Key responsibilities include effective management of materials required for planned maintenance activities, coordination with onsite and offsite resources, and development of job packages with clear details on all activities required for execution teams. The Mechanical Planner and Execution Lead will also provide detailed cost estimates for planned maintenance activities and ensure all maintenance work orders are ready to go before transitioning into the week 2 schedule.

The Mechanical Planner and Execution Lead will demonstrate leadership in Process Safety Management System through active engagements and reinforcing behaviours necessary to achieve zero fatalities and life-altering injuries. They will mitigate SHE risks by identifying and obtaining necessary tools, plans, and procedures, and deliver business team objectives through maintenance functional excellence, ensuring quality, timely, and efficient maintenance.

Qualifications for the Mechanical Planner and Execution Lead include trade experience (piping or mechanical preferred), field scoping experience, knowledge of industry piping standards, execution experience, and basic computer skills. Familiarity with SAP PM or similar CMMS tools and Primavera is also required.
