This is an opportunity for a Mechanical Maintenance Technician to work within the base maintenance team at the Fife Ethylene Plant.
As a Mechanical Maintenance Technician you will play a vital role in ensuring operational excellence and maintenance competitiveness as part of our client's site transformation roadmap.
What You'll Be Doing:
- Safety First - Work closely with your First Line Supervisor to enhance safety culture using the personal safety management system.
- Completing mechanical maintenance and bolting activities both in the workshop and in the field across a range of mechanical fixed equipment including valves, exchangers, vessels and pipework.
- Ensuring efficient preventative maintenance and defect repairs are performed on mechanical equipment.
- Bring innovation and resilience to diagnose and resolve mechanical maintenance issues and solve problems.
- Work with site planning, supervision, and other departments to optimize processes and prevent equipment failures.
- Investigate failures (root cause analysis) and partner with Engineering & Operations to prevent recurrence.
Qualifications and experience required include:
- NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in a Mechanical Trade - HNC in Mechanical Engineering is a plus!
- Ideally oil & gas or Petrochemical industry experience, working with mechanical discipline.
- Strong technical & IT skills. Familiarity with SAP is a bonus!
- Excellent communication skills. Ability to clearly describe issues and recommend solutions.
- Independent & team player - Able to work autonomously and collaboratively.
- Flexibility - Comfortable adapting to changing priorities, tight deadlines, and occasional out-of-hours work.
This role is Inside IR35. The rates advertised are PAYE. The successful candidate could work Umbrella if preferred.
