Our client, a leading company in the Oil & Gas industry, is seeking a Mechanical Maintenance Technician for a contract position. As a valued member of the mechanical maintenance team, you will play a key role in maintaining and enhancing mechanical systems at the site.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Partnering with the First Line Supervisor to develop and build your safety capacity.
  • Demonstrating resilience, ownership, and innovation in solving mechanical maintenance problems.
  • Collaborating with the site operations team to execute planned maintenance tasks.
  • Ensuring efficient preventative maintenance and defect repairs are performed on mechanical equipment.
  • Carrying out Root Cause Failure Analysis on equipment failures and working with other functions to mitigate future occurrences.
Job Requirements:
  • Passionate about eliminating waste and driving continuous improvement in maintenance processes.
  • Sense of accomplishment and pride in your work.
  • Completed an apprenticeship to NVQ level 3 or equivalent in a Mechanical trade. HNC in Mechanical Engineering is advantageous.
  • Experience in the Oil and Gas or Petrochemical Industry.
  • Proficiency in written and spoken English.
  • Effective at delivering results both independently and as part of a team.
  • Conscientious, careful, and independent working style.
  • Fluent with computer and IT systems, including proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel. Familiarity with SAP is advantageous.
  • Ability to adapt to tight deadlines, heavy workloads, and frequent changes in priorities.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to clearly describe field conditions and recommend solutions.
