CR Smith Manufacturing is a fast-paced, dynamic, manufacturing organisation, producing & installing made-to-order, bespoke window and door products for the Social Housing, New Build and Trade markets.

Through serving these sectors the company has recently experienced significant growth on the back of ever increasing demand for a reliable provider of technically advanced, thermally efficient building products capable of handling large scale and complex projects.

We are looking for a qualified Quantity Surveyor to support our on-going growth in these sectors by working within our growing Commercial team on projects in the New Build and Social Housing replacement sector.

The Role

Reporting to the Head of Commercial the role is not just a traditional quantity surveying role in its entirety but also affords a good opportunity to be directly involved in project management of significant client contracts.

-Reviewing & negotiating terms for existing contracts and tender opportunities

-Submitting monthly valuations

-Pricing of complex variations and non-standard offerings

-Monthly client meetings and presentations

-Attendance on site to review progress

-Mobilisation of new contracts

-representing the company as a key point of contact with clients

-liaising and negotiating with suppliers and sub-contractors

Key skills & Attributes:

-A university degree in Quantity Surveying

-have excellent communication skills (written and verbal)

-are computer literate & are quick to learn new softwares & systems, particularly including Microsoft Excel

-have excellent interpersonal and communication skills

-are able to manage own work load and multi-task in fast-paced dynamic environment

-have impeccable attention to detail

Key Performance Indicators:

-Accuracy of valuations & pricing

-Maintaining client relationships & service levels

-Project management self-sufficiency and proactivity
