The main duties will be:
- Prepare high quality quotations by evaluating enquiries, drawings, specifications, and related documents
- Understand technical capabilities and product suitability with regards to environment and specification
- Identify labour, material, and time requirements by studying enquiries, drawings, specifications, and related documents
- Deal with inbound telephone & counter sales enquiries as required
- Review and where necessary, liaise with relevant business delivery departments (CAD, Contracts and Production) ensuring proposed contracts can be fulfilled technically, operationally, and commercially
- Obtain quotations from external suppliers
- Ensure all tenders have full and complete electronic files
- Ensure tender requirements / submission dates are met
- Have awareness of competitor movements in terms of pricing or ranges promoted
- Effective follow up of tenders / quotations of interest e.g., live contracts and / or jobs of significant value or opportunity
- Liaise with and build relationships with customers internal and external
- Maintain and expand technical knowledge by attending any company provided training as required
Qualifications & skills required for job role:
- Minimum of 1 years Estimating experience in a Construction or Joinery based role
- Understanding of Technical and Construction Drawings
- Excellent written & verbal communication skills along with strong computing skills (Word & Excel)
- Keen attention to detail
- Ability to interface directly and effectively with customers & work colleagues
