Purchasing Logisitics Clerk

The Purchasing / Logistics Clerk will play a key role in ensuring that our supply chain runs smoothly and efficiently. You will be responsible for supporting the purchasing and logistics teams by coordinating order placements, managing inventory levels, and ensuring timely deliveries. You’ll work closely with suppliers, vendors, and internal teams to manage the flow of materials and products.
Commutable from Birmingham, Brierley Hill, Stourbridge, Smethwick, West Bromwich, Dudley, Kingswinford, Hagley, Quinton, Woodgate Valley, Harbourne, Kidderminster and Wombourne

Responsibilities
- Assist with creating and processing purchase orders (Pos)
- Follow up with suppliers to ensure on-time deliveries.
- Maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing, and deliveries.
- Coordinate with vendors to resolve discrepancies or issues with orders.
- Monitor inventory levels and place replenishment orders as necessary.
- Schedule and coordinate deliveries to ensure timely receipt of goods.
- Track shipments and provide updates to internal teams as needed.
- Assist with managing incoming and outgoing shipments.
- Verify shipment contents and ensure accuracy of order receipts.
- Communicate with freight companies and couriers to manage shipping schedules.
- Support the warehouse team with inventory management and reconciliation tasks.
Requirements
- Experience in purchasing / logistics is preferred
- Strong IT skills, proficiency in Microsoft Office and Word
- Knowledge of supply chain and procurement processes
- Excellent communication skills
- Problem solving skills with good attention to detail
